It's New York, Baby!!!
As Kevin put it, there are two things to do in New York: walk and take pictures. And of course we did both, a lot of both.
Weather was perfect the whole weekend, sunny with blue sky. I couldn't have asked for more. Well, I guess it could have been better if I was in NY with my Missing Piece. But of course this is a continuing problem since I have yet to find such person. Kevin, nevertheless, was a great travel buddy. Fun, flexible, relaxed, and an awesome map reader! He was well prepared too, with Fodor's and Frommer's checked out from the library.
Friday we roamed around Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and Broadway.

We got there in the afternoon, so this is the daylight shot

Then we ate at the best hotdog place in NY!

And I love this picture, so I just had to put it in. [Yeah-yeah, cewek narsis you say, so what!]

I have to put the picture with Morgan Stanley in, just because!

And, of course, this one is a must if you go to NY...
Saturday we explored the lower Manhattan and Wall Street. I felt like I walked as much as Forest Gump ran. It was loooooong! Caught a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty. He actually was kind enough to walk over to Battery Park and take a picture with me!

The last one, I think, is totally funny. Anyone seen Hitch?
And since we were in Wall Street, might as well go north a little bit and visit Ground Zero...

Last spot to visit on Sunday was Central Park. I've been here two years ago but for some reason everything felt and looked different. CP was covered with people! They had a marathon training going, a parade along the 5th Ave (dunno what for though), people boating, and a bunch of musicians along the paths. These are my favorite pictures though...

Aren't these guys cute??? The elefunts have panties painted all over their butts! Kawaiii!
Anywhoo, that ended my second trip to NY. We took the subway back to the hotel and drove back to DC. Got there in about 3.5 hours, pretty much since Kevin drove like a maniac. I think he averaged about 80-85 mph. But the speed devil was definitely loving his stay in the car because I got to Richmond in an hour and a half. Hee-hee!
Till the next trip!
